Recently, SEBI alleged misutilisation of client securities by Karvy Stock Broking Limited (“KSBL”) and inserted ban on further dealings by the company. The webinar shall predominantly focus on how KSBL managed to misutilise the clients’ securities for the purpose of pledging and raising funds and in the event, the various breaches and violations conducted. The webinar shall further touch upon why the misconduct went unnoticed by SEBI, NSE and BSE, NSDL and CSDL and a way-forward for more vigilant norms and checks in the dealings of shares and securities.
